Cheese

 

 

Curworthy is a delicious, full-fat semi-hard cheese which is handmade, on an historic farm by Rachel, deep in the heart of the rich Devon countryside and is based from a traditional 17th century recipe, which has been handed down through the years by farmers wives.

 

 

Stockbeare Farm is situated between Hatherleigh and Okehampton, Devon and it is here where Curworthy cheese starts (the milk is produced each day by its herd of 80 Friesian/Holstein cows) the milk is stirred, scalded and matured, into a unique cheese that is creamy, with a light buttery taste.

 

  

 

No colouring or preservatives whatsoever are added, except salt which enhances the flavour and lengthens the cheeses life.

 

 

 

 

We offer two accompanying chutneys (each 227g) made by Devonshire Made, they are Apple Chutney and Tomato Chutney, both are equally delicious and sweet and the perfect partnership for your chosen cheese.
